Dear All,

Which train goes to Kyoto from Tokyo and how long it take please to reach destination.
Is it the Hikari Train who take more or less 2H 40Mn?

What is the name of the JR Rail pass for 7 days?

If you are traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto or Osaka (or vice versa) with a JR Pass, instead you can use the Hikari shinkansen. It stops at all of the stations that the Nozomi does, plus one or two more stations.

Under "More Options", be sure to uncheck the Nozomi box since you can't ride that train using the pass.

Meaning, none of the JR Rail pass from Tokyo can go in Kyoto with a fast train!

Hyperdia is only giving price and no other option.

No.
From Tokyo there are Hikari, Kodama, and Nozomi bullet trains going to Kyoto. You can take the first 2, but not Nozomi with the pass. I don't recommend taking a Kodama train though since it stops at every single bullet train station, and would take you an hour longer.

As you mentioned, on average it would take about 160 minutes.
