Hi, I will be traveling to japan for almost a month next November, so I would be travelling around all the country, a bit rushed, i know, but want to know different cities, so here is a proposed itinerary
tokyo haneda, - downtown tokyo - right after to Fuji - nagoya - kyoto -osaka - hiroshima - fukuoka -nagasaki - fukuoka - izumo - tokyo (using sunrise izumo if available) - fukushima - aomori - hakodate - sapporo - all the way back to tokyo- in tokyo about 3 days - Narita airport. will definitely make some trips in between, so i guess will use the pass a bit more. I personally think it would make sense to get the jr pass, i also think i would save money, but would really like to hear some opinions from someone that knows how this works. Thanks.

Well if your plans don't make a 21 day pass pay off, none will.
You can see regular fares, routes and schedules on Hyperdia.

Under "More Options", be sure to uncheck the Nozomi box since you can't ride that train using the pass.
