Tokyo to fuji station
Does Shinkansen go directly to fuji station or do I have to connect to local line?
First, I presume you mean Fuji Stn in Fuji, Shizuoka Prefecture.
There is no bullet train station there. You don't say where you would be coming from - but if from Tokyo for example, you could take a bullet train part way there, to Mishima or Atami, and then transfer to a local line.

Note that some trains like the Nozomi do not stop at some stations like Mishima.
I'm going from Narita airport to Fuji to climb Mt. Fuji. I guess I can go to Shin-Fuji station rather than to Fuji station.
If you want to climb Mt. Fuji, then that is one place to go, but there are actually multiple trails you can choose from. You can see more info here:
