We will be in Japan for 2 weeks. Most of those days we will be in Tokyo, including three days at Tokyo Disney. We are taking one trip to Osaka/Kyoto area. Is it worth it to buy the rail pass or would I be about the same to buy a Nozomi ticket and just pay as we go around Tokyo?

If not, then you can look at a japanican ticket, which comes up as way cheaper than the 7 day JR Pass, and allows you to take the Nozomi as well.

As for within Tokyo, a 2-3 day subway pass is a great way to save money.

Under "More Options", be sure to uncheck the Nozomi box if on the JR Pass since you can't ride that train using the JR pass.
