I'll be in Japan for 2 weeks in December, but I will only be travelling for about a week (from Tokyo to Kyoto, Hiroshima...) . Which pass do I need to buy? How can I know which pass is best?
If you will do the itinerary from Tokyo to Kyoto in 7 days, Japan Rail Pass 7 days is really worthwhile for you.

During your stay in Tokyo (before you use your Japan Rail Pass), you can use another pass like subway pass etc. It's more convenient than Japan Rail Pass. You can buy theses passes in Japan.
