Takayama - Shirakawago - Kanazawa - Osaka

Hello, I'm intending to take the following trip this December:

6 Dec: Takayama
7 Dec: Takayama
8 Dec: Takayama >> Shirakawa-go
9 Dec: Shirakawa-go >> Kanazawa
10 Dec: Kanazawa
11 Dec: Kanazawa >> Osaka (base in Osaka, day trip to Nara)
12 Dec: Base in Osaka, day trip to Himeji
13 Dec: half day travel within Osaka, Osaka to Kansai International Airport

I intend to buy these passes, and would appreciate your advice on the following questions:

1) TAKAYAMA HOKURIKU PASS - for 7 to 11 Dec
- will all trips from Takayama - Shirakawa-go - Kanazawa - Osaka be covered by the pass?
- will bus trips within Takayama - Shirakawa-go - Kanazawa places be covered as well?
- this pass will not cover the trip from Osaka to Nara, right..?

2) KANSAI AREA PASS - for 11 to 13 Dec / 12 to 13 Dec
- will this pass cover all trips stated in the itinerary, including the trip to Kansai Airport as well?

Final question: any other pass recommendations that would be more cost efficient for the above itinerary?

In addition, where can the TAKAYAMA HOKURIKU PASS be 'activated' within Takayama? I'd like to activate it only on 7 Dec, so that it will be valid up till 11 Dec for the train trip between Kanazawa and Osaka.
