Should we get a rail pass for 8 days in Japan?

Hi,
Our family of 4 (two adults, one 8 year old and one 5 year old child) will be in Japan from January 20, 2016 till January 28, 2016.
Our rough itinerary is as follows:
Day 1&2: Tokyo
Day 3&4: Tsukuba
Day 5&6: Snow Monkey Park (Jigokudani) in Nagano
Day 7: Tokyo Disney
Day 8: Depart for Thailand
I am not sure if it is worth it to get a Japan Rail pass? Can you please let me know if it would be cheaper to get the pass or buy individual tickets? Also are all of the above routes covered by the Japan Rail Pass?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    Hello

For the travel above the main journeys would be to Tsukuba and Jigokudani, for just these journeys it would work out cheaper to purchase the tickets once you are in Japan, rather than get a JR Pass. The total amounts to 21,820 yen. For travel within Tokyo it would be best to use a Pasmo card for the Metro.

    Hope that helps.

    Best regards
