JRP for 12 days or do I need separate pass?

I need some help. I plan to go to Japan for 12 days. Do I need to buy the Tokyo pass to go around Tokyo or I can use JR Pass during 12 days?

From Haneda airport to Dinosaur Hotel, can I take train?

The itinerary is
5/12 Haneda - Dinosaur Hotel (near Disneyland)
513-5/14 Disneyland
5/15 Kamakura-Nagoya-Hakone
5/16 Hakone
5/17-5/19 Kyoto
5/20 Kyoto - Nara - Osaka
5/21-5/23 Osaka
5/24-5/26 Tokyo

Thank you in advance for your help.

  • With your plans, you'd lose a huge amount of money on a JR Pass - you are simply not traveling enough. It would be better to just use regular fare tickets.
Also, your plans for May 15 don't make sense - Nagoya is most of the way to Kyoto. So why backtrack to Hakone? It would be smarter to see Kamakura (and don't skip Enoshima there also) and then Hakone.

Plus if you are already seeing Tokyo, you can mostly skip Osaka during the day. Osaka in the evening though is a great time to see the place, especially Dotonbori, Shinsekai, and the city night views (Umeda Sky Bldg, Abeno Harukas, Cosmo Tower).
I suggest you take a day and go see Himeji, with Japan's best surviving castle and beautiful Kokoen Garden.

You could see them in half a day, and if you wish, you could also see some of Kobe for half a day. A one day Kansai Area Pass would save you some money.
