Rail Pass 7 days

We 3 adults are travelling as follows:

13/3 Arrive Narita 17.30 stay Tokyo
14/4 Tokyo
15/4 Travel to Nara midday
16/4 Nara
17/4 Travel to Kyoto
18/4 Kyoto
19/4 Kyoto to Hiroshima
20/4 Hiroshima to Haneda for 22.00 departure

My question is wether it is worth buying a 7 day rail pass and are the rail passes time specific - noting we are exactly 7 days?

Can anyone comment.

I think I have answered my own question relating to time specific - it is day specific so if we get a pass on 13/3 we cannot use on 20/3 - all the dates should have been March (3 not 4).

That's correct. If you start using the pass from Mar 13, the last day you could use it is on Mar 19.
But there is a cheap way into Tokyo from Narita anyway, the 1000 yen bus.

Your itinerary still gives you tremendous savings using a 7 day pass.
