I plan to buy JR Pass for my travel to Osaka to Tokyo.Can I use the JR Pass in subway train in Osaka and Tokyo , from hotel in Tokyo going to Narita airport? Or do I need to buy a regional pass ?
The JR Pass can only be used on JR lines, and not any private railways or the subway. For any of these lines we could suggest purchasing a pasmo card, which is a a prepaid smart card that allows you to travel on the subway, buses and trains. The same card works in both Tokyo and Osaka. Of course there are also JR lines which you can use around the city in both Tokyo and Osaka, which would be covered by the pass. To travel to Narita from Tokyo you can use the Narita Express, which is also cover by the JRP.
