Haneda to Akasaka, Minato-Ku & JR Pass

Hi

We will only arrive at Haneda Airport at 15:35, and there are no longer any airport limousine. How do we get to Akasaka? Bus? Train?

We will need to travel from Naeba Ski Resort to Tokyo (one way).

With these two routes, do we need a JR Pass?

Thanks!

  • Hi Audrey

Unfortunately the limousine buses would have stopped by the time you arrive. The best thing would be to take the Tokyo Monorail from Haneda to Hamamatsucho. Then take the Asakusa line to Shimbashi, change to the Ginza line to Tameike-sanno then change to the Chiyoda line for Akasaka. You can find a Tokyo Metro map here: http://www.tokyometro.jp/en/subwaymap/.

To get to Naeba Ski Resort from Tokyo you will need to take the train to Echigo-Yuzawa, this will cost 6,670 yen and take about 88 mins, then take a bus to Naeba which will take 50 mins.

For travel on the Tokyo Metro and local public transport in Tokyo the best thing to get would be a Pasmo card. This is a pre-paid top-up card.

If these are the only journeys that you are doing it would be best to pay for single when you are in Japan, as this would be cheaper.

    Hope that helps.

    Best regards
