Hi, where can I buy a one way nozomi ticket for our trip to Tokyo to osaka? Do I need to reserve a seat? Our scheduled date is on Aug 15, 2019? Also how much would be the cost?
You can buy it at the JR station at the ticket vending machine or at the Midori Madoguchi office. You can depart Tokyo from either Tokyo Stn or Shinagawa Stn. It takes about 2½ hours and costs are ¥14,650 for a reserved seat or ¥13,620 for an unreserved seat. If you want to pay less with an unreserved seat, it would probably be better to board at Tokyo Stn to improve your chances of sitting down.
You can check on train info on Hyperdia - you can see regular fares, routes, and schedules. http://www.hyperdia.com
