I´m visiting Japan in few days, but forgot to order my JR Pass and estimated delivery day is not working out anymore. How much more does it cost if I were buy it in Japan. Or maybe I should just have it sent to my hotel?
If you can have it sent to your hotel, it would definitely save you some money. Buying it outside Japan the ordinary 7-day pass costs 29,650 yen. In Japan it is 33,610 yen (and maybe 2% higher with Japan's tax going up from 8% to 10% from October). In any event, about 15% more expensive.
You can find the estimated delivery times and costs by country here: https://www.japan-rail-pass.co.uk/book-jrp/delivery-rates-and-times. Yes, we can send the Japan Rail Pass vouchers to your hotel in Japan. You just need to double check the hotel address and add the name of the delivery to match the person who made the hotel booking.
