Need a little help on this topic.
I will be traveling from Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. Not planning to take the JR pass.
From what I have read via blogs, Suica card can be used on any trains/subways in Tokyo but for Osaka and Kyoto only applies to JR Lines.
So this means that Suica card cannot be used for the Subway lines in Osaka, right?
Do i need to purchase the ICOCA card to make use of the trains in Osaka?
How about in Kyoto? If Suica/ICOCA card cant be used, any advise if i should be getting a Day pass?
At the same time, can the Suica be used to travel from Osaka-Kyoto?
Apologies for the many questions.

Who on earth told you you can't use Suica cards for Kansai trains?

As far as saving money goes though, a 500 yen bus day pass for Kyoto would serve you much better. And for Tokyo, a 2-3 day subway day pass is easy to use and save money.

The IC cards save you absolutely nothing. They're just convenient to use.
