Honeymoon Couples - First time to Japan

Where are the places recommended to go for first timers to japan for our honeymoon around 10 to 11days? I would like to touch on Kyoto and Nara area. Will consider other places as well.

Autumn season or Spring season is better? I just started researching, not sure how to go about doing it yet.

    Hi,
Both Kyoto and Nara are the cultural jewels of the nation, and well worth a lot of your attention. You also might like Osaka in the evening:
seeing Dotonbori at night, not to mention the night views from the Abeno Harukas Building or the Umeda Sky Building can be quite romantic. Makes a great evening when the weather is clear after the Kyoto sights close down around 5:00 PM.

Another activity you must try are the hot springs at least once. You could go to Kinosaki which is a hot spring resort area, or near Shirahama in Wakayama.

Staying in a Japanese inn (ryokan) is also a great experience. You can do this the most luxuriously at a hot spring resort, but there are others as well. You might look at the organizations that are in touch with hundreds of different ryokan and ask for their help. You might try the Japan Ryokan & Hotel Association, the Japanese Inn Group, and Japanese Guest Houses and see what they say.

For more itinerary, I suggest you might try Himeji, Kobe, or Koyasan. Or with an early morning start, you could even see Hiroshima and Miyajima as a day trip.
You could spend a few days in Tokyo as well if you like. Since it is your honeymoon, you might as well look at staying at some love hotels as well.

Many might just have a bath for two that you’d also be happy with. In Tokyo the main area is Love Hotel Hill in Dogenzaka near Shibuya. There are also several that are pretty nice if you're a more budget concerned couple. Finding one in Kyoto or Nara might be harder, but not in Osaka.
Both spring and autumn are the best times to see Japan. For the middle and southern half of the country, the second half of November is often the best time for the autumn colors. For spring, it's always a roll of the dice, but the first week of April is often a good time.
