Hi, I'm planning in this April to Japan with ittinery TOkyo-OSaka-Kyoto Is it possible if in 4 days I explore Tokyo ,Mt.Fuji,Yuzawa, 3days in Osaka and 3 days in Kyoto. What the best rail pass I must purchase.
If this is your first trip and only have a limited amount of time, then I would recommend Tokyo, Yuzawa, Mt Fuji, Osaka and Kyoto. The JR Pass would cover all these areas and is available for 7, 14 or 21 days.
Sapporo is quite far and to would take a whole day to get there (approx 10 hours), the JR Pass is covered on this journey. However to be able to see anything within Sapporo, you would need to spend more time there. It really depends on what you want to see, visit and are interested in doing whilst in Japan.
If you are planning to travel during April, accommodation gets booked up very quickly during this time, so it's best to book as early as possible, especially in Kyoto.
