worth to use JR Pass for tokyo>osaka>tokyo

hello,
we plan to go to japan on 11-17 Mar 16. Below is our plan.
11-13 Mar 16 = tokyo
14-16 Mar 16 = osaka
17 Mar 16 = tokyo (fly back to singapore)

is it worth to buy the JR pass? can we use the JR pass for the bullet train going to osaka and back to tokyo?

The prices for a one way ticket from Tokyo to Osaka is 14,450 yen. And 4,000 yen for a return to Narita to Tokyo. Or 1,300 yen for a return to Haneda. So it would be cheaper to get a seven day JR Pass will cover your travel to Osaka and the airport. You can also use the JR Pass on the Yamanote line in Tokyo and the JR lines in Osaka.

With the JR Pass you can't use the Nozomi and the Mizuho Shinkansen, but you can use the Hikari Shinkansen to Osaka.

Its the Sanyo Shinkansen line that we are going to take from Tokyo to Osaka and Osaka to Tokyo?

Between Tokyo and Osaka it's the Tokaido line. The Sanyo line connects Osaka to Fukuoka. You can see the shinkansen lines here: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2018.html.
