Hi. Is it still recommended to purchase a 7-day JR Pass if it will be used for the ff: Narita airport to Tokyo, Subway travel within Tokyo, Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka, Subway travel within Osaka, and Osaka to Osaka airport?
A JR Pass cannot be used on subway systems in Japan.
If you were to only use your pass for travel from Narita to Tokyo, Tokyo to Osaka, and Shin-Osaka to Kansai International Airport, it would not be worth getting a Rail Pass, since it would be cheaper to pay for each journey when you're there. Those three trips would cost you about 20,000 yen, while the 7-day pass costs 29,110 yen.
