My wife and I visited Japan February of last year and we availed of the 7 day JR Pass. We were able to make good use of the passes. This year, around April we intend to go back along with our son and our nephew. When we applied for Japanese visas, my wife and I as well as our son were given multiple entry tourist visas. My nephew was also given a single entry 15 day stay visa. Could all of us purchase a 7 day JR Pass? We would really like to see a good part of Japan during our stay

Did you see the info on:

You must have a single entry visa. It's unclear why you were given a multiple entry one. But you should contact the Japanese consulate or embassy and have your visa reissued. Otherwise, only your nephew could get the JR Pass.
Hope that helps.
