May I ask what is the most economical (fastest if possible) way to go to Toyama from Nagoya? Also, how much would a single entry ticket be for such travel? Many thanks.
Sorry for the confusion. Just wanted to get the best ride possible. Would you happen to know around how much it would cost? I tried hyperdia, just couldn’t understand it as this will be my first time in Japan. Thanks!

It depends on how you go there. But for trains, the cheaper way is with an unreserved seat. As long as it's not a peak season like end/start of the year, Golden Week, etc, availability is rarely an issue. Hyperdia is not hard to use. As a sample, see: http://bit.ly/2zG0F0o Using the bullet train part of the way, it would cost ¥10050 and take about 3 hours.
The bus pass for 3 days would be ¥7000 yen. I don't know how long it would take, but it is a more direct route.
I can only answer that I would take the bus because it is significantly cheaper. But I have no idea about your plans or itinerary, so I can't answer for you. I don't have a clue if you are going sightseeing or what. And Kanazawa is a very nice city worth a day or two. So it's up to you.
From what I can gather, the direct route by bus would be about 4 hours 15 minutes. If you use the 3 day pass, it would be going via Kanazawa, and take a total of about 5½ hours, not including any connection times. I cannot find any more detailed info than this.
Using the bullet trains, you could get there in 3 hours, but it would be pricier. There is also a limited express train, the Hida that takes 3 hr 45 min or so, but departures are infrequent. See the rail link I gave you above.

At any rate, there is no fast or really cheap way.
You can see regular fares, routes and schedules on Hyperdia.

If you want to go round trip or tour the area, a rail or bus pass might be better.
