You can take Loop Line to Osaka Stn, then to Shin-Osaka and catch a bullet train to Hiroshima. Or catch the Haruka train straight to Shin-Osaka. Total time varies between 2 and 2½ hours. You can see regular fares, routes and schedules on Hyperdia. http://www.hyperdia.com Under "More Options", be sure to uncheck the Nozomi box since you can't ride that train using the full JR pass.
That said, if that is the only trip you're doing (even round trip), you'd be losing a lot of money on the JR Pass. You'd need to do a lot more travel. If you're only going there and back, look into getting a JR Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass instead. http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2361_kansai_hiroshima.html You can save some good money with one, and even ride the Nozomi bullet train with it.
