Tokunai Pass

I plan to purchase one day Tokunai pass 750 yen. I notice this pass not cover up to Maihama station, and the nearest station is Kasai-rinkaikoen. My question:
1. From Kasai-rinkaikoen station, should I get down and change train to Maihama station?
2. Or, can I use the same train that I seat go to Maihama station, and compensate the balance fee at Maihama station with Suica card?

It seems to me that you could do it either way, although I've never seen JR charge a fare difference through a Suica card though. However, since you are going there anyway, why not take a stroll through Kasai Rinkai Park and Kasai Seaside Park - they are not visited much so they're quite relaxing by the ocean, and the view from the ferris wheel there is also very beautiful over the whole area.
