Kansai Area Pass

A two days Kansai Area Pass will cover my journey for the following:
Day 1: travel from Osaka -Itami Airport (flight arrives late in the evening)
Day 2: travel in train from ShinOsaka station to Tanabe in Wakayama prefuncture.
Alternatively, is it better for me to buy individual ticket for separate sectors.
Please advise. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
You can't use the Kansai Area Pass down to Tanabe. You can only use it as far as Wakayama Stn in Wakayama City.

Thank you Tenjin. So your advice is to obtain separate ticket for each sector, i.e. Airport transfer and normal train to Tanabe. My purpose for this short trip is to walk the trail of Kumano Kodo. Your advice will be appreciated.

Well, as the info above says, a Kansai Area Pass won't help you get down to Tanabe.
