Hello please could you adviseI will leave Matsumoto 11th Nov, travel to Gero overnight there and then to Takayama (4 nights for day trips) then on to Kyoto on Wed 16th November. I am unsure what pass could suit this itinerary. I am looking at the TAKAYAMA HOKURIKU pass but unfortunately I am in the alps area for 6 days and not 5. I was thinking perhaps of using the pass once I leave Gero so it could cover route from Takayama to Kyoto but very confused! Please could anymore advise? Thanks so much.

I think the Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass is the best one for you. But if you are set on 6 days, you're going to have to pay for part of the way.
