We will spend just over 3 weeks in Japan, arriving in Narita on July 12th and leaving again from the same airport on August 3rd.
Our plan is as follows:
July 12th - July 15th Head directly from Tokyo to the countryside in Nagano- ken (Inamatsushima)
July 15th Leave for Kanazawa. Spend one week in the Hokuriku region (we have strong ties to this area as we used to live here, so many friends to visit). Possible day trips to Noto and maybe other places fairly close by.
July 23rd Return to Tokyo for a stop over
July 24th Leave from Haneda to go to Okinawa
July 30th Leave Okinawa
July 30th to August 3rd Tokyo
Should we get a JR pass or not? If so, I wonder about the JR east pass....On the map of Japan, the area marked with green covers Kanazawa but I can't see the train routes going there? Does the JR east pass not include Kanazawa?

As you will be traveling for 12th July to the 23rd July. I think you would be better off getting single tickets for your journey. The only passes that cover these areas is the national JR Pass that is available for 7 or 14 days or the JR Osaka Tokyo Hokuriku Pass, which is available for 7 days.

Tokyo - Inamatsushima 6900 yen
Inamatsushima - Kanazawa between 10580 yen (depends on the train)
Kanzawa - Tokyo 14120 yen
Total 31600 yen
This is cheaper than the 14 day JR Pass.

Although if you want to explore the Noto Peninsula the ideal way is by rental car.

Please advise what pass to purchase for our 5-6 days Tokyo trip.
We are a family of 4 adults. We will be staying at hotel @Ikebukuro area for most of the days in Tokyo. We will also be staying one night at Fujikawaguchiko. We intend to go to Tokyo Disneyland too.
Should we get both Tokyo Wild Pass and 72 hours Tokyo metro pass to cover all train rides and metrol rides. (ie we will visit Fujikawaguchiko and Disneyland within the three days).

By my calculations, a round trip from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko would be about ¥7280, and a round trip to Disneyland would be about ¥1800. That puts you pretty close to breaking even for a Tokyo Wide Pass. If you can take one other day trip from Tokyo, you could get some huge savings. And there are many great places to see - Nikko, Karuizawa, Izu, Kusatsu, etc. Within Tokyo a 2 or 3 day subway pass covers nearly the entire city, and it's not hard to make it worth your money. You could save a lot using both.
we are traveling to Tokyo on 2 Aug. leaving from Tokyo to Hakodate on the 7th. and then stay 2 nights in Hakodate, 1 night in lake toya and 2 nights in Otaru. Which JR pass should i buy and how do we get back from Otaru to Tokyo?
I suggest you look at the JR East South Hokkaido Rail Pass
