Hi, my friends & i area travelling within the Kansai Area for 8 days this July.
1. I already finalized our itinerary but confused/not sure if the ff trains (which we will be using) are covered by the JR KANSAI AREA PASS:
- JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service (Kansai Airport - Nippombashi)
-Osaka City Subway (Midosuji, Sakaisuji, Sennichimae Lines)
- Osaka Loop Line ( Inner Loop)
- JR Special Rapid Service ( Osaka -Himeji-Kobe)
- Hanshin/Sanyo Ltd Exp ( Kobe - Osaka)
- Hanshin Namba Line ((Kobe Osaka transfer)
- JR Yamatoji Rapid Service (Osaka - Nara)
- JR Nara Line Rapid Service
- Ltd Express Haruka 25 ( Kyoto - Kansai Airport)
- Trains & bus within Kyoto
2. We have 8 days in Kansai. Is it advisable to buy 2 sets of 4days JR Kansai Area Pass?
This is our itinerary:
Day 1 : arrival at 9pm
Day 2 : Osaka sightseeing
Day 3 : Osaka sightseeing
Day 4: Himeji and Kobe (back to Osaka hotel)
Day 5 : Nara (1/2 day) , proceed to Kyoto
Day 6 : Kyoto sightseeing
Day 7 : Kyoto sightseeing
Day 8 : Kyoto (1/2 day), depart for Kansai airport
I would really appreciate your advice so that we can finalize our trip.

Unless you want to use the JR Pass to get from the airport, you may only wish to purchase one set of 4 day passes to use on Day 4. Osaka is quite easy to walk around and you may not be using any JR lines very much.
