    Hello

If you are purchasing a JR Pass or JR East Pass the exchange office at Haneda only opens at 7:45, so you can either wait until it opens or take the train into Tokyo then activate it Shinjuku or Tokyo. The office in Shinjuku opens at 9:00, and Tokyo 7:30.

From Haneda Airport you can the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho then change to the JR Yamanote line to Shinjuku or Tokyo.

The other route is taking the Keikyu Line to Shinagawa then change to the JR Yamanote line to Shinjuku or to Tokyo.

From Tokyo you can take the Hakutaka Shinkansen to Itoigawa, then change to the JR Oito Line to Minami Otari. From Minami Otari to Hakuba take the Lt Exp Azusa. This journey from Tokyo station takes 225 minutes

Or alternatively you can travel from Shinjuku. From here take the JR Exp Azusa 13 to Matsumoto. Then from Matsumoto take the JR Oito Line to Shinano-Omachi then change to another JR Oito train to Hakuba. The journey from Shinjuku should take 288 minutes. You can find the schedules here: www.hyperdia.com.

    Hope that helps.
