7 or 14 days?

Hi,
I will go to Japan in march and I have the following question. Is it better to buy a 7 or 14day railpass, if I will have the following plan:
24.3. arriving at Hareda Airport, going to Tokyo Center
25.3. Tokyo and Kamakura
26.3. daytrip to Nikko
27.3. going to Hakone
28.3. Hakone
29.3. going to Kyoto
30.3. Kyoto
31.3. daytrip to Nara
01.4. going to Koyasan
02.4. going from Koyasan to Osaka Airport
03.4. flying back home
If it is better to buy the 7 day pass, it would start the 27th.
Thanks for your answers Gerhard

    Hi Gerhard

If you are thinking about travelling between Tokyo and Kyoto and mostly stay in these two cities (for example arriving in Haneda Airport, and leaving Japan from the Kansai airport). The Japan Rail Pass will cost more than a Tokyo-Kyoto one-way ticket. Please be aware that travel in Hakone and some of the journey to Mt Koya will not be covered by the JR Pass.

To be sure if the JR Pass is or isn't worth getting in your case please visit this website www.hyperdia.com.

    - In search conditions, write the departure and arrival locations
    - The search will provide you the fare for this travel
    - Do the same for all your trips by train
    - Just compare with the price of a JR Pass 7, 14 or 21 days
    (Check the price here: http://www.japan-rail-pass.com/)

You want to be sure, you can access to this train with a JR Pass:
    - In “search details”, unclick “Nozomi, Mizuho, Hayabusa (shinkansen)” and “private railway”
    - The search result will show you all the trains you can access with a Japan Rail Pass

    Hope that helps.

    Best regards
