Hi! We're thinking of using Osaka as the starting point to visit these cities, what would be the best route and rail pass to take?

Hello,
Without knowing how long your trip is, it's hard to know which rail pass would be best for you. The Japanese timetable website HyperDia is great for working out train routes when you are planning a trip:
http://www.hyperdia.com/en/
We have some information about how to use Hyperdia here:
https://www.japan-rail-pass.com/japan-by-rail/hyperdia
HyperDia will also give you and idea of the cost of the trains you want to take, so you can work out if purchasing a JR Pass is good value for you.
Kind Regards,
Japan Experience
