Tokyo-Mt Fuji and Mt Fuji-Kyoto by JR Pass. Best Option?

Hi there again,
Another JR Pass question.
Does anyone know the best option to get from Shinjuku to Mt Fuji. We are staying in Fujikawaguchiko near Mt Fuji and I am not sure whether I can travel there by JR Pass or I have to get onto a different train line. Has anyone done this or a similar trip and can assist me with the best option?

Also I am leaving from Mt Fuji to Kyoto, is there a JR train that is express from Mt Fuji to Kyoto or do I have to travel back to Tokyo then go from there to Kyoto?
