Need advise whether I should buy 7 day pass or an alternative?

Hello, i will visit Japan for the first time for 9 days..I will land to Osaka spend 3d there then 2d to Kyoto and finally 4 to tokyo..I want to know if is it worth it to purchase a 7days pass for travelling from Osaka-Kyoto and Kyoto-Tokyo and also to do few day trips near these cities like visiting Mt. Fuji from Tokyo.

Only if the day trips you take add up to more than the one way fare from Kansai to Tokyo. Otherwise, just get regular tickets and use some regional rail passes.
