My husband and I are planning to travel Japan maybe by November and been reading a lot forum for this is our first time. In my understanding if we buy JR pass like for example 7 days, can we use this from Narita Airport to Hiroshima, Nara, Kyoto & Hiroshima and back to Narita Airport?

Yes, and for a 7 day pass your savings would be huge. Hiroshima back to Narita Airport would take over 6 hours though, so you might see Hiroshima & Miyajima as a day trip from Kyoto with an early morning start. And after the temples of Kyoto close down around 5PM, you can zip over to Osaka for the evening. At night the city comes alive and has some great places to see, such as Dotonbori, plus the night views from the Umeda Sky Bldg and Abeno Harukas Bldg are wonderful.
