activation question

I am traveling from the United States to Japan. However, I am immediately getting on a plane when I arrive in Japan to go to Vietnam for 4 days and then flying back to Japan (Osaka) to spend 2 weeks traveling around. I won't have much time in Narita airport to activate my JR pass since I have to catch a connecting flight to Vietnam right away. Can I activate my JR pass somewhere in Osaka? Would Osaka airport be able to do this or is there a train station that can do it? Thank you!
