This is my first time visiting Japan, Tokyo. I would like to check what is the difference between JR Pass and NEX ?? If I were to purchase JR Pass, can this pass be used in other Railway, for instance N'EX.
The short answer is the Narita Express is a train route from Narita Airport into Tokyo and beyond. The JR Rail Pass is just that - a prepaid pass that you can use on JR trains (including the Narita Express, assuming you activate your pass at Narita Airport).
If your whole itinerary does make a JR Rail Pass pay off, you can still use the Narita Express at a discount with a round trip ticket for ¥4000. However the return ticket must be used within 14 days. Complete details are at: http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/pass/nex_round.html
Yes, you can use the national JR Pass to travel by shinkansen between Tokyo and Osaka. You can take any shinkansen with the pass except the Nozomi and Mizuho shinkansen trains.
Comments
The N'EX is managed by Japan Railways so therefore, you can use it with your JR Pass.
N'EX is an abbreviation for Narita Express, it is not the name of the company so do not worry, you can use it with the JR Pass))

There are cheaper alternatives, however, such as the ¥1000 bus:
