7 days JR Pass

Hi all , i would like to check whether my itinerary need to purchase any JR pass ?

7th July : Narita Airport > Osaka
9th July : Osaka > Kyoto ( 1 day trip @ Kyoto , in evening will be back to Osaka )
10th July : Osaka > Tokyo

My itinerary plan of days :
Osaka ( 7th July to 10th July , 4 days )
Tokyo ( 10th July to 15th July , 5 days )

On top of JR Pass , i planning to get Pasmo card for my 9 days trip in Japan also .

Need some advise and assistance for my above itinerary . Thanks all (",)

You would barely break even with a 7 day JR Pass for your plans. You could add value with some day trips from Tokyo, such as to Nikko, Kamakura, Izu, Karuizawa, Kusatsu, etc. It's also unclear why you'd choose Osaka, since it's a clone of Tokyo - instead, Kyoto is the cultural jewel of the nation, and well worth a lot of your time. You could see Osaka in the evening though - the city comes alive and has some great places to see, such as Dotonbori, plus the night views from the Umeda Sky Bldg and Abeno Harukas Bldg are wonderful. Also seeing Nara for at least half a day is well worth it, as is Himeji for Japan's finest castle.
