Exchanging my JR rail pass voucher

Hiya, I land at 6:55pm at Haneda International airpot but was hoping to get an 8:07am Hikari train to Okayama the following morning. Will i have enough time to get our rail passes and tickets before then? I see that the Haneda office closes at 6:30pm and also the Tokyo office at 8:30pm which i worry will be too tight by the time we get out of the airport. Can you advise if i have any other options please?

Hi Deeshac,

The only thing we can suggest is to get up bright and early on the morning you want to leave, and exchange your voucher at Tokyo station before catching the 8:07 Hikari train.

The Tokyo office opens at 7:30am so you might have time, but be sure to get there early since it's a busy office and a queue can start forming early on!

Worst case is you miss the train - but there are Hikari trains leaving every 30 minutes or so. You may need to change trains at Shin-Osaka, but according to Hyperdia the overall time difference is not much. In fact, it is counter-intuitive but they actually get you there faster.
