I exchanged my voucher already and I have not received my subscriber number and hotline number to call by email for 5 days now. What is going on here? I tried calling and emailing but no response. I'm trying to get from Tokyo to Osaka if there is a JR line available as well as Kyoto.

There may have been some lag time in reaching us over the busy holiday season. Have you managed to get in touch with us?
We're sorry to hear you had trouble on your trip. Is the station you're talking about Izukyu-Shimoda station? If so, it's on a privately owned rail line. This means it's not run by JR, and not valid for use with your JR Pass, which may be why you had to pay an extra charge.
